Treat yourself to some No-Churn Any Berry Sorbet! Like the banana nice cream or mango banana nice cream you're probably all familiar with but without the banana...
We're using frozen berries instead! It's super quick, it's super easy, and it tastes like sorbet, only without the sugar, the churning, and the freezing. Basically berry sorbet for impatient people...
Ingredients
To make this quick and easy homemade sorbet you will need frozen berries of choice (I used raspberries in the pictures and video), and a few tablespoons of liquid. You can use fruit juice like fresh lime juice, lemon juice, orange juice, simple syrup, dairy-free milk, canned coconut milk, vodka/gin (if it's not being shared with any kiddos), or just a bit of water.
You can also add some maple syrup or agave if you want to. Whether it's necessary depends on what berries you use. Frozen raspberries can be quite tart so a little added sweetness is nice. Other berries tend to be sweeter so you can probably get away without any.
Got some frozen raspberries leftover? Give my vegan raspberry donuts or vegan raspberry cookies a try!
Flavor Variations
You can make healthy sorbet with most frozen fruit. Frozen bananas, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, melon, pineapple, mango, cherries, etc all work. Just make sure that the bigger fruits are peeled and diced before freezing, then blend them up as per the directions in this recipe.
How To Make No-Churn Berry Sorbet
Can't wait? Here's a quick rundown of how to make Any Berry Sorbet. It's made without an ice cream maker. No churning is necessary. All you need is a food processor (or blender).
See the recipe card for the full and detailed recipe, and if you're a visual learner check out my recipe video:
- Process the frozen berries until they look like coarse crumbs.
- Add your liquid of choice and blend again until you've got a smooth sorbet-like consistency.
Told you it was easy!
Success Tip - I recommend using a food processor to make this berry sorbet recipe if you have one. You'll get a better texture than you will in a blender. That's because food processors run a lot cooler than a high-speed blender so can get the nice cream smooth before the heat from the motor begins to melt it.
Serving Suggestions
Serve this delicious frozen dessert (or breakfast) with a sprig of fresh mint for garnish if you want to be a little fancy, or add toppings of choice. Some ideas include:
- Chocolate shavings/chips
- Vegan chocolate syrup
- Vegan granola or chocolate coconut granola
- Fresh berries like raspberries, strawberries, or blueberries.
- Frozen berry compote
- Vegan whipped cream or yogurt

No-Churn Any Berry Sorbet
Author:WATCH HOW TO MAKE IT
Ingredients
- 3 cups (300 grams) frozen berries
- 4 tablespoons liquid , such as plant milk, lime/lemon/apple/orange juice, water, or even vodka/gin!
- OPTIONAL 1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup , or agave
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add the frozen berries to a food processor and process until they look like coarse crumbs. You can use a blender if you don't have a food processor but the texture of your sorbet will be looser because of the heat generated when blending.
- Now add your liquid of choice (and maple syrup if using) gradually while running the food processor. Let it blend a bit after each addition until it becomes thick and smooth like soft sorbet consistency. If adding maple syrup reduce the amount of milk you add to compensate. You shouldn't need more than 4 tablespoons of liquid.
- Best served immediately but can be frozen for later.

I had to smile when I first saw this recipe because this is my go to-treat-myself-recipe for years! I use orange juice and then only add some fruit (mostly strawberries and raspberries so no need for extra sweetness), it truely is a one minute job and healthy too. I always have a freezer full of different kind of berries and orange juice in the fridge, so whenever I feel in need of a cold treat, this is the perfect one!
