This is what I call a Cheat's Banoffee Pie Bowl. It's a 5 minute easy, stripped-down shortcut recipe for when you want banoffee pie but, let's be real here, there's no way you're going to take the time and energy to make one on a weekday.

This Cheat's Banoffee Pie Bowl is a near-daily occurrence in my life right now. It's soft, crunchy, creamy, gooey, sweet, a little tart, completely wonderful, and you owe it to yourself to make one.
Yes, it seems weird, but creamy tart yogurt, topped with thickly sliced banana, butter-soaked graham cracker crumbs, and a hefty drizzle of vegan honey or maple syrup is just heavenly, and very emergency banoffee pie-ish.
It’s breakfast, it's a snack, it’s dessert, and yes, I could have called it a yogurt bowl but why when it can be a Banoffee Pie Bowl? 😁
This is a spin-off of my Emergency Strawberry Cheesecake Bowl so if you love this one be sure to check it out too!

Ingredients
Here is what you need at a glance, along with some important ingredient notes & substitution ideas:
- Dairy-free yogurt - Either plain, coconut, or vanilla. I like plain and unsweetened because the tartness is lovely with the sweetness of the banana, cookie crumbs, and vegan honey.
- Cookies - Use either vegan graham crackers or digestive biscuits. Storebought or homemade. Shortbread-style cookies or even ginger snaps work well too.
- Banana - Ripe but not too ripe.
- The drizzle - You can use vegan honey, maple syrup, golden syrup, or pancake syrup. Whatever you have handy. I used vegan honey on the bowl in the photos/video. You could also use any caramel sauce such as my easy healthy vegan caramel sauce or date caramel.
- Vegan butter - This gets melted and stirred through the cookie crumbs to make them rich, buttery, and delicious like the graham cracker pie crust on a traditional banoffee pie. Use homemade vegan butter or store-bought.
This is an unapologetically basic recipe so use more or less of anything. I use the word recipe loosely here as this is more of a guide. I say go with your heart when it comes to buttery crumbles and sticky, sweet drizzles!
Let's Make a Cheat's Banoffee Pie Bowl!
Can't wait to make it? Here's a quick visual rundown of how it's done. See the recipe card for the full and detailed version, or check out my recipe video to watch me make it.
1 - Crush the cookies then stir in the melted butter.
2 - Dollop the yogurt into a bowl. Top with sliced banana, and drizzle over lots of vegan honey, maple syrup, or store-bought caramel. Sprinkle over the cookie crumbs and you're done. It's as easy as pie!
Cookie Crumb Tip
I like to crush a whole packet of cookies at once and store them in a jar in the pantry. It makes it very easy to spoon out a few tablespoons whenever you need an emergency banoffee pie bowl or strawberry cheesecake bowl. I mean it's already a super quick recipe but having them crushed, ready, and waiting just makes it even more convenient!

Cheat's Banoffee Pie Bowl
Author:WATCH HOW TO MAKE IT
Ingredients
- 2 graham crackers or digestive biscuits
- 2 teaspoons melted vegan butter
- 3 big dollops dairy-free yogurt , I like the tartness of natural yogurt but coconut or vanilla work too.
- 1 small banana , sliced
- a few big drizzles vegan honey or maple syrup, golden syrup, date caramel, or any other caramel.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Crush the cookies. I break them up into chunks, put them in a bowl or mug, and use the end of my rolling pin to squash them into crumbs. You could also put them in a sandwich bag, seal it, then bash them up.
- Stir the melted butter into the cookies.
- Spoon the yogurt into a small serving bowl. Top with sliced banana, a generous drizzle of vegan honey/caramel, and the buttery cookie crumbles. Dig in!
