Ingredients
Here is what you need at a glance, along with some important ingredient notes:
- Garlic - I recommend using fresh garlic for that true bitey garlic flavor. I don't recommend using prechopped garlic in a jar unless you're in a pinch and absolutely can't get fresh.
- Vegan butter - You can use homemade vegan butter or storebought. Make sure it's a good quality butter that you like the taste of.
- Parsley - This can be fresh or dried. Fresh looks best if you're entertaining and it has a brighter flavor. Dried has a stronger, more concentrated flavor. I like to use a bit of both.
- Optional chili flakes - I love a little pop of spice in my garlic butter so I always add a pinch or two of chili flakes.
How To Use Garlic Butter
Some of my favorite ways to enjoy garlic butter include:
- On garlic bread
- Tossed through freshly cooked spaghetti with lashings of black pepper and vegan parmesan.
- Drizzled over fluffy cooked rice.
- Melted or brushed onto vegan seafood, steak, or chick'n.
- Mashed into potatoes or melted onto potatoes.
- Melted on vegetables. I especially love it with green beans, mushrooms, and corn on the cob!
- Brushed over fresh from the oven vegan dinner rolls or sweet potato biscuits.
