Ingredients
2 cups (approx 288grams)strawberries, fresh or frozen
1mediumfrozen banana, fresh and not frozen if using frozen strawberries
2tablespoonspeanut butter, or any other nut or seed butter
Check the sweetness and add the optional maple syrup or date if necessary then blend again to incorporate.
NOTES
Success tips
Use a very ripe and spotty banana and fresh strawberries for maximum sweetness and creaminess.
Don't use ice instead of a frozen banana. Ice dilutes the flavour of smoothies and makes them thin. We want a thick, creamy, velvety delicious smoothie!
Use natural peanut butter.
Using a high-powered blender like a Blendtec or Vitamix makes a HUGE difference to how smoothies turn out. I highly recommend investing in one if you are able to.
Customize the thickness by using more or less milk.
Serve immediately. Smoothies always taste best when freshly made.
To prepare ahead Add all of the ingredients (except the milk) to a freezer bag or container. Freeze for up to 1 month. Remove from the freezer when you want to make your smoothie, tip the ingredients into your blender and add milk. You will need to use more milk to compensate for everything being frozen. Blend and enjoy.
