⅓ cup (85grams)natural peanut butter, must not contain xylitol (see recipe notes)
1mediumbanana, make sure it is very ripe (7-8 inches long)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175°C) (not fan/convection)
Add oats to a food processor and process until a flour like consistency.
Add the peanut butter and banana.
Process until a dough ball starts to form. Add a drop or two of water if it wont come together but only enough to make a firm dough.
Turn out onto a clean surface and roll out with a rolling pin to about 3 mm thick.
Cut into shapes with a cookie cutter and place on a baking tray. Line it with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat if it has a tendency to stick.
Place in oven and bake for about 25 minutes. They need to be really dry and hard. Watch them carefully near the end to be sure the bottoms don't get too dark. If using a dark/black baking tray they will be ready a few minutes sooner.
Leave to cool on the tray.

IMPORTANT NOTE RE PEANUT BUTTER - Make absolutely sure that the peanut butter you use to make this recipe is natural and does not contain xylitol. If you think your dog has accidentally consumed something containing xylitol take them to a veterinarian immediately.
